Buff™ Pro excels in all these aspects and more! Many of our customers prefer using these towels with just plain water. While it's challenging to assign numeric values to qualities like softness and dust pick-up, we conducted various fun and unique tests against other top brands on Amazon. 36 Amazing Microfiber Cloth Uses

Written by Tenley Haraldson. Reviewed by Cleaning Expert Sean Busch.

While you've probably used microfiber cloths to clean countertops and windows, their applications extend far beyond. Here are 36 surprising ways to use microfiber cloths!

Don't Use Microfiber Cloths on These Surfaces

Be cautious with sharp substances like sand, mud, cat litter, and broken glass, as they can get lodged in the fibers and cause scratches on delicate surfaces. Avoid using them on very dirty items like shoe soles and car wheels.

1. Blinds & Slats

Before wiping down windows, remove dust from blinds. Dampen your microfiber towel with water and pinch individual slats between your fingers, running the cloth down their length. Rinse and fold your towel repeatedly, especially if your blinds are particularly dirty.

Pro Tip: Use a dry cloth for light dusting.

2. Windows & Mirrors

Switching from paper towels to microfiber towels for windows can drastically reduce waste and eliminate paper fuzz. Apply a spritz of our Natural Surface Cleaner to a 2' x 2' area and use an overlapping "Z" pattern with medium pressure. You'll know it's working when the product evaporates.

3. Animal Blankets

As a cruelty-free company, we prioritize animal safety and comfort. Thick and warm, our microfiber towels can be used to swaddle smaller animals. However, some fur types can be difficult to remove, so it’s best to designate specific cloths for this purpose.

4. Burp Cloths

Thanks to their size, absorbency, and softness, our towels make excellent burp cloths. During and after meals, drape one over your shoulder to catch spit-up. If you miss any, our guide to baby stains can help.

5. Damp Cloth for Fevers

Dampen a microfiber towel with cool water, wring it out, fold it, and place it across the forehead to help reduce fevers.

6. Disinfecting Kids' Toys

After playdates, especially if you notice sniffles, disinfect toys with Puracy Disinfecting Surface Cleaner. Let them sit for 10 minutes, then wipe down with a microfiber towel.

7. Hair Towels

Unlike cotton and terry cloth towels, which can cause frizziness, microfiber towels are gentler on hair and help reduce frizz.

8. Drying Pets

A wet dog running around can be messy. Our microfiber cloths, which absorb seven times their weight in water, are ideal for drying pets. Designate specific cloths for pet use to avoid fur getting trapped in the fibers.

9. Sun Hats

To clean straw hats, first vacuum with a bristle brush attachment, then dip a towel in warm water mixed with a couple of drops of Natural Dish Soap. Wring it out and use small, overlapping circular motions to clean the hat.

10. Windshield Defogger

Keep a microfiber towel in your glove compartment to quickly absorb moisture from the windshield, improving visibility before the defrost setting kicks in.

11. Electronic Screens

Turn off electronics so you can see the screen clearly. Spritz a fresh cloth with our Natural Surface Cleaner and clean using a Z-pattern. Modern TVs can often be cleaned with a dry microfiber cloth.

12. Facial Tissues

Microfiber towels can serve as an excellent tissue alternative in a pinch, thanks to their softness and absorbency.

13. Dinner Napkins

If you run out of napkins when company arrives, microfiber cloths are a great alternative. They are perfect for wiping up food messes on both countertops and fingers!

14. Sneaker Scuffs & Stains

After removing dirt and laces, spray the upper parts of your sneakers with our Natural Surface Cleaner and gently remove stains with a towel. Avoid wiping the soles, as trapped sharp particles can scratch other surfaces.

15. Hard Water Stains

Microfiber cloths can easily remove hard water stains without requiring excessive elbow grease. They are incredibly efficient for this purpose.

16. Travel-Sized Towel

For those who travel light, a superabsorbent microfiber washcloth measuring 16 x 16 inches takes up minimal space, leaving room for other essentials.

17. Microwave Spatters

To combat microwave explosions and lingering odors, use a microfiber cloth. For further details, visit glass cloths wholesale.

22. Polishing Crystals

24. Polishing Brass Instruments

33. Keeping Babies Warm During Bath Time

During your baby’s bath, drape a warm, wet towel on their stomach to keep them warm and prevent chills.

34. Ceiling Fans

Cleaning ceiling fans is easy with microfiber towels, which effectively trap dust. Wet the towels, wring them out, and slide them over each blade.

35. Leather Apparel

Maintain your leather apparel, whether it's boots, bags, or jackets, by regularly wiping and conditioning them with microfiber cloths.

36. Cobwebs

Microfiber material is excellent for trapping cobwebs. Attach towels to poles or mops using rubber bands to reach corners and high spaces.

Caring for Your Microfiber Towels

Microfiber towels are highly effective at attracting tiny particles and lint, so it's best to wash them separately from other laundry. Clean out the lint trap before washing, select an extra rinse cycle, and use a natural liquid detergent that rinses away cleanly. The best drying method is using a delicate cycle and removing the towels while they’re still slightly damp.

Pro Tip: Wash microfiber cloths before their first use, when they feel saturated, and whenever you notice streaking.
