Welcome to a special episode of Behind the Blinds! Im Brandon and this is SelectConnect.
The SelectConnect Bridge is our brand new universal motorization bridge. It will allow you to use any motorized shades or blinds on our website all together, seamlessly in a singular app.
With the SelectConnect Bridge, you can add all of your motorized shades and blinds to this and then control them via the app as well as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Siri Shortcuts.
The app will allow you to set up scenes so you can close all of the shades in a single room with a single button. It also lets you set up schedules, so if youd like your bedroom shades to open up slowly in the morning to start letting some natural light in to help you wake up, you can set that up one time and it will run automatically until you tell it to stop.
The bridge has a range of about 2,500 square feet and can connect to up to 30 devices at one time. But thats not a hard limit of 30. If you need more than that or you need more coverage, say, two floors of a home or a bigger home than 2,500 square feet, you can purchase an additional one and control them through the same app seamlessly.
One nice feature about the bridge is it does not have to have an Internet connection in order for the app to be able to control your shades. Most of the bridges on the market require an Internet connection to communicate with the Cloud before speaking to your shades to control them.
This does everything locally, so if you lose Internet, no worries. You can still open up your app and use your scenes, change your schedules and operate your shades.
However, since most smart assistants do require Internet, if you lose Internet, you wont be able to use any voice assistance to operate your shades.
Another thing that we wanted to accomplish with this bridge is making sure that those of you with custom home automation system such as Control4 or Savant werent left out.

The SelectConnect Bridge is able to be integrated into one of those systems right out of the box seamlessly. That way you can still enjoy the cost savings of purchasing some of our products while still getting the benefits of having our products integrated into your home automation system.
Inside the box, youll receive a power adapter, power cable, the bridge itself, as well as a little quick Start Guide up here with the QR code to download the app to get you up and going.
Once youve downloaded the app, youll want to make sure that you have your shades installed in your window frame. And along with this, youll get QR codes corresponding to whatever products youve purchased. Once youre inside the app, youll get this set up with your WiFi and then simply scan the QR codes that came with this to pair the bridge to your shades.
Setup is nice and easy. Youll have the bridge plugged in, go and download the app using that QR code I mentioned earlier. The app will have you create an account, and from there, the app will guide you through the setup of your bridge.
We hope that youll love your new SelectConnect Bridge, but if it gets overwhelming at any point, please dont hesitate to give our Design Consultant Team a call. Well be more than happy to help!
Well also have more in-depth programing and setup videos coming very soon. Thats it for this weeks episode of Behind the Blinds, the SelectConnect Edition. Im Brandon. See you next week!

Best way to setup wireless bridge connection to another ...
Hi,
I need to setup a isolated network for students to use, The only way to get internet access it to go through a Wireless network, located in a different building, ran by different IT Staff, I have been given the authentication details to connect to the wireless network. but I am unsure what the best way would be to setup the wireless connection. I have 2 wireless routers, one supports bridge, so I was thinking of using that for connecting to the wireless network, but on the wireless network, the IT Staff have setup a proxy that runs on port 80, filtering all traffic and you have to authenticate to get internet access. I also have 2 computers with wireless cards in them and they connect fine, after authenticating via the proxy. The problem I am facing is how should I share the internet connection to 10 different desktops computers, with only lan cards in them. I have attached a image of how the network will be setup. Any suggestions would be good. I need to have a firewall within the small network, stopping any of the other IT staff from accessing the network I am setting up and have control of what students are browsing on the web. I need to try and set this up at the lowest price, as I dont have much of a budget.
Thanks!
