1. Introduction
MLT-01 Micro Leak Tester uses the vacuum decay method to detect package leaks by measuring the rise in pressure (vacuum loss) in an enclosed evacuated test chamber containing the test package. This vacuum loss is due to the leak of headspace gases or volatilization of liquid contents within or near the leak. The tester is widely utilized for integrity testing of vials, ampoules, prefilled needles, infusion bottles/bags, and more.
The MLT-01 is a vacuum decay leak tester that can evaluate the performance of sealed packaging using a non-destructive method. This allows the testing of pharmaceutical packaging sealing performance without damaging the sample. Following ASTM F2338 standards, the MLT-01 is effective for detecting micro leaks in packaging across industries like food, identifying micron holes and leaks in containers made of glass or plastic, and filled with powder or liquid.
