4. Silicone rubber

Known for outstanding temperature tolerance, silicone rubber can function at 150 degrees Celsius without performance degradation and can withstand up to 200 degrees Celsius for extended periods.

5. Teflon

Teflon is recognized for its exceptional thermal and chemical stability, self-lubrication, and friction reduction capabilities. It can operate normally at temperatures ranging from -200 to 300 degrees Celsius and demonstrates excellent resistance to most chemicals.

The frequent choice of materials like Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) and fluorine rubber (FBR) is prevalent due to their cost-effectiveness and improved performance characteristics. However, the development of products such as PTFE oil seals signifies a shift toward more advanced solutions in sealing technology.

Note: When selecting the material for an oil seal, it is crucial to consider material compatibility with the operating medium, temperature range adaptability, and the lip edge's capability to follow a rotating shaft at high speeds.
