High Rib Lath

Phillips High Rib Lath is specially designed for horizontal applications, featuring seven longitudinal ribs each 3/8" deep along with eight smaller flat ribs to ensure extra rigidity. As the most robust among all laths, it offers the necessary support when framing distances exceed 16" on center (O.C.) but stay within 24" O.C. It is extensively used in soffits and ceilings beneath steel or wood joist construction as well as metal-reinforced concrete floors.

3/8" High Rib Lath displays a herringbone mesh pattern with 3/8" V-shaped ribs spanning the sheet at intervals of 4 ½”, along with inverted 3/16" intermediate ribs. When placed against framing members, no additional 1" three-coat system is required. This lath can also be utilized for stud-less, non-load bearing partitions, with the laths wire-tied back to back and ribs running perpendicularly. Hy rib mesh, also known as fast-ez high ribbed formwork, is produced by punching and profiling galvanized or stainless steel sheets. This jointless steel mesh is stiffened by integral ribs, with continuous parallel V ribs providing primary structural support. Additionally, the mesh can curve along the direction of the V ribs. This design, coupled with hy-rib tangs, enables the hy rib mesh to be widely used as carriers for plaster, stucco, and fireproofing materials while also serving as a permanent formwork for concrete.
