There are many names for wheel loaders like front-end loaders, front loaders, wheeled loaders, bucket loaders, scoop loaders, and skip loaders. Wheel loaders are a piece of heavy equipment usually found in construction projects and building sites. A wheel loader uses an arm to lift and lower its bucket, and a bell crank is used to open and close its bucket. Wheel loaders can lift almost anything such as debris, gravel, soil, dirt, pallets, etc. Since it uses wheels, it has better mobility on roads, and it does not give any damage to asphalt or concrete. Attachments can also be used to make it fit for any type of project you have.

What can a wheel loader be used for?

Wheel loaders are machines with great power and durability, and most construction sites use them to finish some tasks quickly. It consists of an arm with a bucket to haul, scoop, or carry large-scale materials and transport them around a site. Aside from being used in construction sites, they can also be used for agricultural purposes and landscaping projects.

These machines can dig, haul, carry, and transport. Wheel loaders can also be used in helping build roads, prepare job sites, and assist in cleaning up after a completed project.

How can I choose the right size of wheel loader?

One of the important things to remember when choosing a wheel loader is to choose according to the nature of the job, there are a lot of sizes and attachments to choose from but choosing the best out of them will make your project run more efficiently. The first step in choosing any type of heavy equipment is to understand what the equipment needs to do for the project and what the project site looks like.

Most wheel loaders are chosen by the size of the project site, bucket capacity, and how long the arm stretches. It is also good to ask your manufacturer what type and size of equipment make the project the most productive and efficient.

What kind of loader attachment system do I have?

I am looking for an attachment for my loader but I can't figure out what my mounting system is called. It's about 15 years old and it is not a Euro style (is that the skid steer version everyone talks about? ) or whatever a quick attach is. It is a thick steel plate that "hooks" into a box on the attachment, and then at the bottom of the bracket in both the loader and attachment there are holes for a retaining pin. The retaining pin is about 3/4" in diameter and is held in place with a cotter pin. Both "arms" of the loader are like this. What do you call this connection system?

Do you have a pic? I have a hard time figuring this out other then it is the old style with 2 pins in the arms and 2 in the cylinders, a pin-on bucket. There is different types of quick attach so that could be possible too. Actually, if you had the loader model that would probably be enough to identify. Here is the Euro/Global style. I think ALO may be the same? Someone else will know that for sure but I'm pretty sure I've seen that used interchangeably on NAT. My guess is that ALO was one of the first farm loader companies to adopt the Global/Euro style and therefore farmers started calling it ALO? I'll get a picture of skidsteer in a minute.

First picture will be of my grain bag roller. It is universal skid steer mount but in the first picture the adapter from universal to Euro/Global/ALO is still installed.

In the second picture I have dropped the adapter down to where you can see how the Euro/Global/ALO to universal skid steer adapter is able to fit into the universal skid steer hookups on the grain bag roller.

We have an Allied loader with the same style hookup as yours. It is about 20 years old. We have a bale spear we bought at the same time and switch between the two. I don't think they are a universal hookup.Yep, mine is an Allied 695. I will have to get a photo of it. Thanks for the photos guys. It is different than the two shown. Not drastically, but it is different. I know we had difficulty finding a bale spear for it and had to special order one.
